MacEwan University’s Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2022. This new faculty position will play an important role in teaching core courses primarily in the Professional Communication major of the Bachelor of Communication Studies (BCS) degree.

Preference will be given to candidates who can teach the following courses: strategic communication, advanced strategic communication, professional communication, intercultural communication, organizational communication theory, and communication theory.

The Department of Global Political Studies is a multidisciplinary research and educational environment with Bachelor programs in European Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER), Diversity Studies, International Relations, Human Rights, and Political Science. The Chair is positioned in the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication of the Faculty of Humanities. The department focuses on the study of Western European languages and cultures in a global context. The research domain of the Chair lies within the broad field of multilingualism, focusing on the linguistic interaction between speakers from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in diverse and inclusive societies.
