Maynooth University is seeking an excellent academic to join their staff as an Assistant Professor in Applied Linguistics with a specialism in English-language Pedagogy. Given the SMLLC’s plans for strategic development in the coming years, they would be especially interested in candidates whose research focuses on English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), English-Medium Education (EME), TESOL, Integrated Content and Language Learning in Higher Education (ICLHE), TESL, and/or the intercultural dimensions of teaching of, and through, English in a higher-education context.

The University of Colorado Denver Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track teaching position at the International College of Beijing (ICB). The job will commence in Beijing in either Fall 2023 or Spring 2024, pending visa issues. Depending on the performance of the individual hired, multi-year renewals are possible.

They seek to hire a colleague who can teach a wide array of Communication courses ranging from introductory level communication courses required for the major to upper-division courses supporting one or more of the Department’s pathways and certificates in global and intercultural communication, media and cultural studies, health communication, and strategic communication. The ability to teach courses related to digital media is preferred.

Above all else, they seek a dynamic teacher committed to best practices in student-centered pedagogy and advancing the internationalization of communication via hands-on, skills-based, experiential, and problem-based learning.   1. Lecturer in Language Learning and Intercultural Communication

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering research-informed teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate International Business courses and for ensuring an excellent student experience. An integral part of the role will be to work with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and programmes, including developing and delivering new practice-based units and courses. They will consider applications from across the spectrum of Intercultural Competence but are particularly interested in candidates also able to deliver high quality and innovative teaching in the areas of cross-cultural management in business, inter-cultural competence in business, intercultural relations, peace-keeping, international marketing and global issues affecting international business and consumer behaviour.
