The University of Colorado Denver Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track teaching position at the International College of Beijing (ICB). The job will commence in Beijing in Fall 2024. Depending on the performance of the individual hired, multi-year renewals are possible. They seek to hire a colleague who can teach a wide array of Communication courses ranging from introductory level communication courses required for the major to upper-division courses supporting one or more of the Department’s pathways and certificates in global and intercultural communication, media and cultural studies, health communication, and strategic communication. The ability to teach courses related to digital media is preferred.

The ICB is a unique international collaboration embodying best practices in international and intercultural communication, so the ideal candidate will function not only as a classroom teacher and student advocate, but as a cultural ambassador helping to merge U.S.-style pedagogy with Chinese cultural practices.

John Cabot University (JCU) invites applications for a full-time visiting faculty position in International Relations and/or International Law. The appointment is for one year, beginning August 2024, and with possibility of renewal. They seek candidates with a Ph.D. in International Relations or International Law, demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, and commitment to academic service. The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to applicants with an interdisciplinary expertise in the two above-mentioned areas. The Department of Politics and International Relations in association with Exeter College are recruiting to the post of Associate Professor of International Relations to start from 1 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications are welcome from both early career and established scholars in any sub-field of international relations. However, the Department has particular needs at present in historical international relations, the international relations of the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Russia and the Post-Soviet space, international law, and the international politics of the environment.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out advanced research in the field and to develop courses and provide teaching and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students; they will be expected to provide and organize undergraduate teaching for one or more of the Department’s undergraduate papers in International Relations; to contribute to the core paper of the MPhil in International Relations; to supervise graduate students in the Department’s MPhil and DPhil programmes in International Relations; to deliver undergraduate tutorial or small-group teaching in Exeter College; and to participate in academic administration, examining and assessment, the admission of students to the Department and College, and in the governance of the Department and the College.

The post will be held in conjunction with a Tutorial Fellowship at Exeter College.

Reporting to the Provost, the Director of the Center for Global Education provides curricular and budgetary leadership for global education initiatives. Primary responsibilities include:

· Managing wide-ranging global study programs and partnerships;
· Coordinating campus-wide program evaluation and assessment of global learning goals and outcomes;
· Supporting curricular and faculty development initiatives, including the design and delivery of semester-long and short-term faculty-led study abroad experiences, and other internally run global engagement experiences.

· Serving on key campus committees, including the Center for Global Education Committee (chair), the Gettysburg Emergency Management (GEM) Team, the Enrollment Transitions Committee, and others as assigned;
· Managing the CGE program budget with special attention to strategic cost-saving;
· Implementing and refining risk management procedures associated with international travel and partnerships in collaboration with the College’s Risk Manager;
· Working with key stakeholders to evaluate existing programs and to approve, modify or withdraw programs as necessary to meet institutional expectations;
· Collaborating with the Office of International Student Services to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for international exchange students; and
· Championing the role of global education to enhance the intellectual climate, and supporting diversity, equity and inclusion.
