OpenMind is looking for their first Director of Education — an educational expert with particular expertise in conflict resolution and/or teaching controversial topics. In this role, you will play a critical role in the creation of their educational tools and advancing their thought leadership agenda.

As the leading in-house subject matter expert, you will play a leading role in creating the content for educational tools. You will also be expected to contribute to their thought leadership strategy by writing op-eds, blog posts, and white papers, serving as an expert for media interviews, and developing educational content for large-scale marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience with faciliation, and from time to time will lead workshops and webinars for educators and other stakeholders.

Over time, you will be responsible for hiring and leading the curriculum team. You will be expected to serve as a player-coach who contributes to and manages the team’s projects and priorities. As a small team, Directors should expect to roll up their sleeves and have a direct hand in executing their team’s projects.

CIDOB: Research Fellow, Global Cities (Spain)

In 2017, CIDOB in collaboration with Barcelona City Council launched the Global Cities Programme (GCP). CIDOB’s Global Cities Programme is seeking a Research Fellow to lead its research on the digital transition of cities. The successful candidate will analyse and support cities’ ambitions to test and upscale innovative digital solutions in a socially and environmentally sustainable manner; identify municipal governance challenges that arise from digital transformations; and monitor and assess regulation and policy standards that promote fair, transparent and ethical uses of digital technologies in urban space.

New York U: Diversity, Equity, and Belonging (USA)

The Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Belonging (Associate/Full Professor, tenure or non-tenure track) will provide institutional leadership for and oversight of strategic initiatives to support and grow a culture committed to promoting equity, community partnerships, and a social justice agenda throughout NYU Steinhardt and beyond it. This position will serve as the primary point of contact on issues of equity and belonging within the School, working with appropriate stakeholders from students, faculty, administrators, and staff.  The ideal candidate will have a strong history of academic leadership and scholarly productivity in research or creative work related to equity, belonging, and social justice, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with a variety of constituent groups, both inside and outside the University. This is a half-time administrative appointment for a Steinhardt faculty member who will conduct research, teach, and advise students in their home department.
