The Department of Communication at the University of Oklahoma seeks to hire an outstanding scholar who will contribute to the department’s national reputation in intercultural communication. Intercultural communication is a historic department strength, with the department ranked in the top ten nationally in the most recent reputation survey of doctoral granting communication departments. The program seeks an outstanding assistant professor with interests in intercultural or interethnic communication with an emphasis on racially or ethnically diverse groups in the U.S. and a preference for candidates focused on indigenous peoples. The candidate should show promise as an active researcher who can enhance the department’s program and contribute to the broader strategic vision of the College of Arts and Sciences and the University of Oklahoma.
