Will report directly to the assistant dean of intercultural engagement for multicultural programs and coordinate existing efforts committed to diversity education and convene staff and students in the development and sustainability of new efforts; increase the volume and visibility of diversity efforts through the OMP and broadening the impact of these efforts; and support MIT’s mission. OMP has a three-prong approach with goals of support, celebration, and education/engagement. To achieve these goals, will focus efforts on leadership and support for dedicated student affinity spaces, including cultural centers and student groups; outreach to and support of students and student organizations; and incorporate social justice education, programming, and resources into the fabric of MIT to support a community of diverse learners within a multicultural context.
