Full/Associate Professor in Media Studies, Culture, and Critical Theory at National University of Singapore

The Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore (NUS) seeks to hire a tenured Full/Associate Professor with research and teaching specialization in Media Studies, Culture, and Critical Theory. For this position, the successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Communication or a closely related field, who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. We seek a colleague to conduct teaching and research in one or more of the following specializations in New Media: (a) New Media and Culture, (b) Cultural Studies of Technology; (c) Inter-Asia Cultural Studies; (d) Asian Modernities and New Media; (e) Postcolonial Theories of New Media; (f) Critical Theory and New Media; (g) Decolonizing Communication and New Media; (h) Political Economy of New Media; (i) Communication and National Imaginaries; (j) Critical Theory and Development Communication; (k) Civil Society and New Media; and/or (l) New Media and Networked Activism. We are interested in scholars with a record of research excellence. The Department, a part of the globally ranked Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS, offers degree programs at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels, and is ranked among the topglobal Communication and Media  Studies departments.
