The Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) has officially opened applications for the highly prestigious Euro-Mediterranean Young Professionals Programme 2026–2027, an exceptional international professional development opportunity designed for talented young graduates from across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Hosted at the ALF Secretariat in Alexandria, Egypt, this full-time programme provides selected participants with up to 11 months of professional experience in intercultural dialogue, civil society engagement, public policy, communication, and programme coordination within one of the region’s leading intergovernmental institutions.

The programme is specifically designed for young professionals under the age of 30 who are eager to strengthen their intercultural expertise, gain hands-on international work experience, and contribute to meaningful dialogue and cooperation across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

The UN Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is a recruitment initiative for talented, highly qualified professionals to start a career as an international civil servant with the UN Secretariat. It consists of an entrance examination process and professional development once those who are successful start their career with the UN.

The YPP examination is held once a year in different subject areas, depending on the needs of the UN. Global Communication is the subject area for this year’s YPP examination.

Eligibility Criteria:
* Nationality of a participating Member State
* Bachelor’s degree or at least a 3-year equivalent degree relevant for the exam area
* 32 years of age or younger (born on or after 1 Jan. 1993)
* Fluency in English or French

The ALF Euro-Mediterranean Young Professionals Programme is a full-time professional experience designed for young professionals at the beginning of their careers who are eager to expand their intercultural expertise through dedicated work.

The programme aims to empower talented graduates under the age of 30 from the 43 countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region by providing them with firsthand professional experience in intercultural dialogue. Professionals also benefit by contributing to the Foundation’s mission to foster youth inclusion through empowerment and engagement, enforcing their competitiveness on the job market.

Successful applicants will begin their professional journey of up to 12 months at the ALF Secretariat in Alexandria, Egypt.

UN Young professionals

The Department of State would like to encourage interested members to apply for the United Nations Young Professionals Program (YPP). The YPP program is a wonderful opportunity for young persons under 32 who speak English and/or French fluently, hold a first level university degree and are a national of a participating UN country, such as the United States.

The families of interest for 2013 are: Administration, Finance, Legal Affairs, Public Information (Public Information may be of particular interest to communication majors) and Statistics.
