Reporting to the Provost, the Director of the Center for Global Education provides curricular and budgetary leadership for global education initiatives. Primary responsibilities include:

· Managing wide-ranging global study programs and partnerships;
· Coordinating campus-wide program evaluation and assessment of global learning goals and outcomes;
· Supporting curricular and faculty development initiatives, including the design and delivery of semester-long and short-term faculty-led study abroad experiences, and other internally run global engagement experiences.
· In collaboration with Academic Division leadership, developing and supporting curricular and faculty development initiatives which support internationalization efforts, including course-embedded global study experiences, languages across the curriculum initiatives, faculty international seminars, and other internally run engaged learning experiences.
· Leading and mentoring CGE staff including Associate Director, Support Staff and student workers, as well as faculty leading international study and research experiences;
· Serving on key campus committees, including the Center for Global Education Committee (chair), the Gettysburg Emergency Management (GEM) Team, the Enrollment Transitions Committee, and others as assigned;
· Managing the CGE program budget with special attention to strategic cost-saving;
· Implementing and refining risk management procedures associated with international travel and partnerships in collaboration with the College’s Risk Manager;
· Working with key stakeholders to evaluate existing programs and to approve, modify or withdraw programs as necessary to meet institutional expectations;
· Collaborating with the Office of International Student Services to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for international exchange students; and
· Championing the role of global education to enhance the intellectual climate, and supporting diversity, equity and inclusion.
· Working with College Advancement to support fundraising for global education.

The Consortium of North American Peace Programs (CONAPP) invites proposals for The Unfinished Work: Students Enacting Radical Peace, the first undergraduate student-centered, peace and justice conference at Gettysburg College (Pennsylvania, USA), early June 2022. Masters and doctoral students, professors, and community members may attend, learn and dialogue, but presenters will only be undergraduates from Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Organizers invite proposals related to any of the following themes: peace, justice (food justice, restorative justice, prison abolition), sustainable development, human rights, conflict resolution/transformation, peace education, philosophy of peace and non-violence, climate change, and unsettling settler colonialism. You may also submit proposals that reflect peace-related themes not explicitly mentioned here. Proposals should specify the format: Workshops, Panels, Papers, Projects, Performances, Artworks.

Are you an emerging leader working on issues of peace and justice? Join the first class of Peace and Justice Transformative Leaders! Organizers are thrilled to introduce this unique fellowship that identifies and amplifies the skills and visions of emerging, undergraduate peace and justice leaders. Held by the Consortium of North American Peace Programs and sponsored by the Gettysburg College Peace and Justice Studies Program, and the Garthwait Leadership Center at Gettysburg College, this fellowship is the first of its kind. All undergraduate students (from Canada, the US, and Mexico) with at least one academic year remaining in their education, upon completion of the fellowship, are eligible to apply.

Selected fellows will be invited to Gettysburg College for a week of intensive programming designed to develop their leadership skills in the realm of peace and justice work. From January 8th through January 14th, 2022, fellows will meet with academics and practitioners to learn tangible skills and create their own social change projects. Fellows will be expected to implement their own projects upon completion of the fellowship. Selected fellows will have all expenses paid to attend the week of programming in January of 2022, including accommodation, transportation, and meals.
