UNESCO’s Futures of Education Ideas LAB called for short think pieces in fall 2025, and began publishing some ideas in spring 2026.
Under the title “The future of international cooperation in education,” some of the essays published include:
- Linguistic justice and multilateral cooperation in education
- Higher education and the gift of the liminal moment
- International cooperation on education in times of global inequality
- Rethinking incentives, metrics and funding in global higher education
- ‘What if?’: A different grammar of global education cooperation
- From fragility to plurality: South-South cooperation in basic education
They are still accepting proposals for future issues, for anyone interested.
NOTE: The Center for Intercultural Dialogue held focus groups as part of the information gathering stage of the Futures of Education project, preparing what we learned as a report for UNESCO, in 2021.
