The Center for Digital Creativity is looking for a Research Fellow in children’s immersive storytelling to join the StoryFutures’ team. The role is specifically attached to the StoryFutures China project, designed to develop new immersive experiences through R&D that can enable economic and cultural exchange with partners in Shanghai.
The post holder will integrate the work of StoryFutures China with the wider StoryFutures projects, linking to a range of projects involving immersive experiences being developed for and with children and young people. The role involves working with high profile creative industries partners including The National Gallery, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Foremost Media Group, BBC, Roald Dahl Children’s Charity and more.
The Research Fellow will work as part of a wider Audience Insight team including psychologists, engineers and ethnographers. Ideally the post holder will be comfortable with mixed methods, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, bringing specific experience around children and young people to the project team. An understanding of Mandarin, Chinese cultures, and/or of immersive technologies is an advantage.
