McDaniel College, a selective, private liberal arts and sciences institution founded in 1867 as Western Maryland College and located near Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC, invites applications for a Visiting Professor (Ph.D. preferred) beginning Fall 2016. Applicants should be willing to take a broad approach to the study of Communication within the Liberal Arts context. We seek applicants committed to undergraduate teaching and integrative approaches to learning in a theory-oriented program. We seek an individual with a specialty in Intercultural Communication, with expertise in critical media theory. In addition to developing intermediate and upper level courses, the teaching responsibilities will include qualitative research procedures, the major’s capstone course, interdisciplinary courses and first-year seminars.
