Shandong U: Postdoc in Global Engagement (China)

PostdocsPostdoctoral Fellow, Global Engagement Academy, College of Culture & Communication, Shandong University, Weihai, China. Deadline: 31 July 2020.

The postdoctoral fellow is expected to work independently but should also cooperate with fellow researchers at the Global Engagement Academy/College of Culture & Communication, Shandong University (Weihai) with an expectant result of 2-3 peer-reviewed top scholarly publications within the areas of emphasis of the two academic units by the end of the two-year term. During the postdoc period, he/she should participate in, and contribute to, the research environment through active participation in research seminars and other research-related activities, contribute with their own original research, as well as contribute to the general development of the research programs within the two academic units or on the Weihai campus of Shandong University. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to take part in organizing workshops or lecture series, take charge of seminars, and contribute to the development of research grant applications. The postdoctoral fellow is also expected to take part in mentoring at the master’s and Ph. D. levels. These tasks require the postdoctoral fellow to have a high level of presence at the workplace Mentoring, supervision and other administrative duties comprise a maximum of 20% of the position.
