The Policy Studies Organization (PSO) and The Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES) invite you to submit a proposal for the upcoming conference. The Middle East Dialogue is for policy makers, scholars, business and social leaders, to discuss current issues. Its purpose is to promote multidisciplinary conversation about topics that include, but are not limited to: education and peace initiatives; social, political, and economic reforms; interfaith dialogue; nuclear proliferation; women’s rights, experiences, and challenges; terrorism; geopolitics; entrepreneurship; environmental challenges; economic development; addressing the Biden Administration. Other topic suggestions will be most welcome!

The conference embraces a spectrum of political and religious persuasions to discuss issues in a spirit of tolerance and free discourse.

ConferencesThe Policy Studies Organization (PSO) and The Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES) are pleased to announce the Middle East Dialogue 2018. Friday, March 2, 2018. The historic Whittemore House, Washington DC 20036.

The Middle East Dialogue (MED) has established an international reputation as a focal point for new research, and a forum for the exchange of opinions and different views about issues of social, political, and economic reforms.  In addition, discussions go on concerning women’s rights and roles in the new Middle East, and ethnic and religious tolerance.

Proposals are sought from individuals or groups on topics relating to the areas mentioned above. Proposals can be configured variously as twenty-minute individual presentations, or round table discussions on particular topics. Proposals are encouraged to explore present, past and futuristic approaches to these issues and “what if” scenarios, as well as conflict resolution, and problem-solving solutions. Visit the main site to see lists of presenters, proposals, and videos from previous years. Papers presented at the MED will have the opportunity to be published.

Proposals submitted by or before the early deadline of November 15, 2017 will be given priority.

The Middle East Dialogue is for policy makers, scholars, business and social leaders, to discuss current issues. Its purpose is to promote multidisciplinary conversation about topics that include, but are not limited to education initiatives, social, economic and political reforms, nuclear proliferation, interfaith dialogue, women’s gains and challenges, peace initiatives, and potential areas of conflict. We welcome a spectrum of political and religious persuasions to discuss issues in a spirit of tolerance and free discourse.

The early conference registration fee for speakers is $200 and $250 for conference attendees, due by February 28th, unless previous arrangements have been made*. Late registration fee will be $300 payable and mailed to:

* Arrangements can be made to waive the registration fee on a case by case basis. For more information, please contact Development and Programs Associate, Roza Kessaci. Continuous refreshments, breakfast, and lunch, will be available for all those in attendance. There is no fee for students and guests of the PSO and its sponsors.

Aman of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Editor-in-Chief of Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES),and Prof. Paul Rich, President of the Policy Studies Organization. The Policy Studies Organization (PSO) and The Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES) would like to announce the official call for proposals for our annual Middle East Dialogue 2016 – New Hopes and Aspirations. The event aims to promote dialogue about current policy concerns in the Middle East, and to provide a civil space for discussion across the religious and political spectrum.

As in years past, we look forward to the opportunity of bringing together scholars, policy-makers, and other leaders within the global and local community to respectfully, and productively, discuss the diverse range of issues affecting the region.

The conference is co-sponsored by, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM); American Public University System (APUS); the Next Century Foundation (NCF), and the Capital Communications Group, Inc. (CCG).

We encourage proposals to be sent in before our early deadline of November 30th, 2015 for priority consideration, to PSO executive director Daniel Gutierrez-Sandoval.

The Policy Studies Organization (PSO), in cooperation with the Digest of the Middle East Studies (DOMES), announces its official call for papers for the upcoming Middle East Dialogue 2015: Glorious Past, Uncertain Future. The fifth annual conference will take place February 26, 2015 at the historic Whittemore House in Washington D.C.

The Middle East Dialogue is a gathering of policy makers, scholars, business and social leaders, with a common interest on inter-connected issues in the Middle East. The purpose of the conference is to promote a productive and continuous dialogue surrounding current policy concerns, while providing a civil space for discussion across the political and religious spectrum. Proposals are sought from individuals or groups on topics relating to education initiatives, social, economic and political reforms, nuclear proliferation, interfaith dialogue, women’s gains and challenges, peace initiatives, and potential areas of conflict. Other topics are welcomed for submission.

Proposals of one to two pages should be sent as email attachments by or before our early deadline of December 30, 2014, to PSO Executive Director, Daniel Gutierrez. Papers presented at MED15 will have the opportunity to be published in a volume of conference proceedings.

Proposals submitted before December 20, will receive notice of approval or rejection by December 31, 2013.   A panel of reviewers from DOMES International Editorial Board will recommend select papers for publications in the peer-reviewed journal Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES), published by Wiley-Blackwell.
