“In response to the pressing human challenges that can be addressed, at least in part, through effective public policy and collaborative leadership across sectors, the co-directors of the Intersection of Intercultural Communication Competence (ICC), Influencers, and Policy Makers Working Group, Fazela Haniff and Carolyn Calloway-Thomas, invite contributions to an upcoming edited volume exploring the dynamic interface between public policy, intercultural competence, and human flourishing.
We seek original chapters that examine how policymakers, public institutions, influencers, community leaders, and other change agents can work collaboratively to address the complex and interconnected challenges confronting societies around the world. At a time of profound global uncertainty and transformation, there is an urgent need for innovative, evidence-based, and culturally responsive approaches that foster equity, justice, sustainability, and collective well-being.
We are particularly interested in contributions that demonstrate what works (and why) in diverse cultural, political, and institutional contexts. We welcome chapters that present theoretical insights, empirical research, policy analyses, case studies, or practical frameworks that illuminate effective strategies for addressing today’s most pressing global issues.
We invite authors to share their research, experiences, and innovative ideas that can inspire meaningful policy development and transformative action across local, national, and global contexts. Please refer to the diagram above to identify the sections that align with your expertise and interests. We invite you to select the section(s) for which you would like to submit a chapter proposal.”
