In 2017, the Center for Intercultural Dialogue began publishing CID Posters, as explained in detail previously. The goal is to visually present concepts or quotes related to intercultural dialogue, so that they may be quickly understood and shared. These are now being translated into Italian.
As with other series, posters are made available for free on the site. They may be downloaded, printed, and shared as is, without changes, without cost, so long as there is acknowledgment of the source.
Click on the image to go directly to a printable version of the poster. Click on the name to go to the original post, containing detailed information, including artist, design details, and source of the quote or content, as well as a link to the printable version. Since some of the posters used quotes from earlier publication on the CID site, and others are at least related to content on the CID site, specific suggestions are provided for each.
CID Poster 1: Comunicazione / competenza / dialogo interculturale – design by Linda J. de Wit, definitions by Wendy Leeds-Hurwitz.

Just in case anyone wants to cite a poster, the following would be the recommended format:
Center for Intercultural Dialogue. (2025). Comunicazione / competenza / dialogo interculturale [M. F. Mangano, trans.]. CID Posters, 1. Available from:

If you have an idea for a poster you would like to create, send an email to the series editor, Wendy Leeds-Hurwitz, in order to receive approval, to minimize inadvertent duplication, and to learn about technical requirements. Presumably most posters will illustrate a quote or concept about intercultural dialogue or a closely related topic, although if anyone has other ideas, describe what you would like to do. As is the case with other CID Publications, posters should be created initially in English. Given that translations of the Key Concepts in Intercultural Dialogue have received so many views, anyone who wishes to translate a poster into another language in which they are fluent is invited to propose that also.
