APPLICATION AND DEPOSIT DEADLINE: MARCH 1ST!!!!!

Undergraduate and graduate students interested in intercultural/interracial communication AND a study abroad experience should give strong consideration to the UGA Costa Rica Study Abroad program. From June 8 to July 5, 2016, students travel the beautiful country of Costa Rica with leading race and communication scholar Dr. Tina M. Harris while earning 6 credit hours. Enrolled undergraduate and graduate students gain the invaluable experience of culture, country, and communication. During this program, students will explore multiple regions of Costa Rica on group excursions, including white water rafting, hiking rain forests, and spending time with indigenous people of the country.

The program costs $3,600 in addition to the costs for airfare and in-state UGA tuition and fees. The program fee covers lodging and most meals (e.g., some meals on are your own), study abroad insurance, in-country transportation on program excursions and programmed group activities, and entry fees to national parks, museums, etc. included in the program itinerary. Costs not covered by the program are a few meals, personal items, airfare, and departure tax upon leaving Costa Rica. Non-UGA students are eligible, pay in-state fees, and are welcome to apply!
